We live in a society of intense food wastage. I mean, it's a figure I don't even care to know, I know that while people world wide are starving themselves and putting their children to bed on empty stomachs it's not something I can be okay with. The fact that this food has become stock feed, simply because it doesn't look like the (for instance...) Carrot, or Canteloupe we are used to seeing. Due to a blemish or discolouration is just absolutely deplorable. I don't like Woolworths, nor do I necessarily trust their motives. But I do think this could be a step in the right direction: www.3aw.com.au/blogs/3aw-blog/ugly-fruit-gets-second-chance/20141204-3lsx5.htmlSo tell me. Do you buy with your eyes, or with your appetite purely?

That's an interesting concept. When I look at produce I look at whether or not it is too ripe. So I guess I do buy with my eyes when I buy my produce.
