Thanks, I want to do it again. It was a fun assignment and I loved making the digital collages. There is something so safe about cutting up pictures digitally. You can do so many things without destroying the original photo. And I love that!

I usually schedule my writing time around my lunch hour. I also try to do my art journaling & paper projects after dinner. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. ^ sigh. I wish I got an hour for lunch. I usually read fanfiction on my break! For example: I don't work on an arts project until I get a portion of an essay written. I don't have a specific time set for my creative endeavors." That's a good idea! Rewarding yourself for getting your school work done! But like you I don't have a specific time when I do creative stuff. I usually have dry spells and then I go manic and can come up with about 50 ideas that I want to try. Some work, some don't and some don't get tried.

I've been a reader and some time writer of fanfiction for many years. I was wondering, where do you post/read fanfiction? I like sites such as...

Thought I'd post this in experimental because was not made for the visual monday poems. Cold blooded Vultures swimming in Vast Pits of Consciousness- This is an experimental visual poem about Johnny Depp I made this little piece, for one of my graphic design classes. This project started off by picking a famous person. I naturally chose Johnny Depp. You were to collect photos describing four different attributes about said person. Then you were to take pieces from each photo and combine it with a different attribute. For example the attributes that I chose were, indulgent, weird, funny and dark. We were to combine one thing from each attribute to create a single image for collage art. By the end of the first part of the project we had about 16 different combinations. It was great fun and I really enjoyed the technique and am aiming to do it again. The next part is where the poem part comes in. We were to print out a biography of our famous person and then a random bit of text. We then had to cut up the biography and text and randomly arrange them into a poem. I highly encourage you to try this. It was a lot of fun!

I am thoroughly obsessed with music and every once and a while I go on a little music finding/buying binge. I'm always on the look out for new singers because I don't listen to the radio I find other ways to find new music. And also because I've been on a buying binge...so I have music on the brain.
Lets talk music! What type of music do you like? Who are your favorite artists/singers/composers/bands? Tell me about your favorite concerts that you have been to? Why did you like them so much, was it your favorite singer? Or was a really awesome show they put on?

milquetoast, I don't think we had Bocskay together but I think you had her the hour before me. LOL. Wow, I didn't know you discovered your ability to draw at age 6 lol. I had kept a journal for awhile but started writing a lot of poetry in sewing class, LOL! - Yup, I looked forward to art classes all through out my elementary school years after that. That sounds like a worthwhile endeavor to write poetry during Boskay's class! lol. I guess we just had creative juices flowing in other directions besides sewing.

um...I suppose. I would say...amazon, shazam (when it works) and google maps for gps. I don't really have very many apps on my phone (long story short there is a defect on my phone where I only have a very small amount of space on it). So I don't really have very many apps on there. Though I did like the weather app when I had it. Gave my warnings about severe weather.

There is often a story behind why we picked up that pencil, or paint brush or camera, etc. Some of us may be on several creative journeys. I was wondering is there a story behind why you pursue your craft(s)?
I'm afraid I don't have any amusing story. As in once upon a time I saw a blank piece of paper and picked up a pen. The two mingled and then suddenly with a quick gesture of the hand and a few smooth strokes of my pen I wrote verses. The verses multiplied into stanzas and then a poem BURST onto the page! It was a homeless and nameless orphan because I couldn't figure out a name and it wasn't in the snug comfort of a covering. - That sounds like fate to me!Actually that was a funny fictional account of your poetic endeavor. Though I pursue more than one creative endeavor, I only have maybe two little tales of how they bega.n. I began writing poetry in my sewing class my freshman year of high school. I was initially eager to learn how t sew but after two weeks of dong nothing but taking notes, my enthusiasm just weathered away. I spent much of 5th hour (I think it was 5th hour--LOL!) writing in my orange Tigger journal..
I discovered digitalscrapbooking by accident. I was looking for paper tags/tab (projects) online. I managed to stumble on this awesome community of digi-scrapbookers where I found some wonderful freebies and resources to begin the journey of digital memory making. In August I was able to participate in a design mentorship the founder/designer was implementing. Our main "assignment" was to complete a digi-scrapbooking kit with 12 papers and 30 elements. I learned a great deal. I found some great techniques on making digital tags and seamless patterned paper. I also began to feel more confident with the designing aspect of digiscrapbooking. I wanted to have a few of my own elements on my pages as well as my own pictures. - OMG! I kind of feel like we were in that class together. I remember being particulally bad at sewing. I thought you wrote poetry before then.
I remember as a 6 year old, I drew a copy of a picture and realized that it was something I could do really well. We later had this assignment where we had to reproduce a picture from a book (we were currently reading). When I showed the students my drawing most of the students didn't believe that I drew it and thought that I had traced it. From then on I had always took drawing/art classes through out school. My first major was drawing until I realized that I don't have the business head to be a freelance artist.
When I was in middle school I got my first digital camera. The Jam cam. The resolution on that camera was pretty shitty and lower than the worst cell phone cameras that are out there. So it didn't end up using it too much. However a photo editing program came with it, Adobe Photoshop Deluxe. A baby version of Photoshop. I spent so much time working with that program, I made countless websites and image graphics. And then one day I realized that I could turn my hobby into a career. And now I have an associates and BFA in graphic design and am searching for a job in that field.

Who doesn't love chai!? Chai is my absolute favorite tea of all time. Overall, I prefer black teas. Lately, I have been drinking raspberry and cherry black teas. I like to drink decaf tea at night when I can't have coffee on a nice cold day. J.ajabad, You love your lavender teas don't you! I remember when you were on the hunt for that and it was no where to be found. Something you'd think would be so easy to find.
